Come to a Prayer Clinic Open House 

In fact, come to our next one! We are hosting a special Open House for people who serve on Sundays. That would include pastors, prayer leaders, associational missions directors, pastors' wives, women's ministry leaders and any one else who believes that God responds in power when His people pray.

The next Open House for the Prayer Clinic will be held at Thompson Station Church in Thompson Station, TN on Wednesday, August 3 from 10:30-1PM.

When Willie McLaurin (interim president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention's Executive Committee and interim pastor at First Family Church just south of us in Columbia, TN) got to this point in his message at the Southern Baptist Convention in Anaheim, CA, I wanted to jump up and SHOUT!

We are so excited to be sharing our Prayer Clinic Virtual Open House! 

If you've been following me for very long you know that I am passionate about prayer. I'm even more passionate about mobilizing your church to pray.

As a leader in the ministry of prayer, I know what it's like to sincerely believe that when we pray, God answers. I also know what it's like to try to convince my brothers and sisters in the faith that this is true.

I know how it feels to plan a prayer meeting hoping for a great turnout, and ending up with a faithful few. I've been the only one to show up to pray in the prayer room. 

But I also know how easy it is to never find myself in those places again. I've discovered ways to get our people praying and I've also discovered it's not that hard to do! And I'm eager to show you how you can get your people praying too.

  I've been busy this year preparing a ministry that I am super-excited about. The Prayer Clinic is an intercessory prayer ministry that will mobilize your church to pray.

  As I've written books and taught on prayer and spiritual warfare, I've realized that the church doesn't need to study prayer more, she needs to just PRAY MORE! I'm convinced that when we pray, God works. I'm also convinced that when we don't pray, we miss a whole lot of what God has promised He will do for us. 

You're familiar with 2 Chronicles 7:14, 

"If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land." 

  Our land is not well. Many of our churches are not well. Our brothers and sisters are not well. I know that when the church begins to pray, the healing will follow. That's why I am dedicated to this exciting ministry.
